Deep coloured with a nose full of soft dark berry fruits. The palate is quite full and spicy with jammy dried fruit flavours and a distinct peppery edge on the gentle finish.

Whispering Hills, Merlot (California)
A typically soft and juicy Merlot selected from grapes which ripen to perfection under the warm Californian sunshine. Fermented and aged for a short time in contact with oak. A wine with supple tannins and ripe berry fruit flavours.

Bodegas Callia, Malbec “Lunaris” (Argentina)
A rich, yet very soft and juicy example of what many regard as Argentina’s most successful red grape. The grapes have sufficient time to ripen fully during the long growing season in Cafayate. Aged for 6 months in oak, this is an excellent example of the modern style of winemaking now increasingly the norm from Argentina.

Rare Vineyards, Pinot Noir (France)
The grapes for this smooth and velvety wine are produced from vineyards in the South-West of the Languedoc Roussillon, close to the Pyrénées Mountains. Showing a cherry and blueberry flavoured palate that is backed by a hint of sweet oak spices.

Running Duck, Sauvignon Chenin (South Africa)
Fair trade and organic. On the nose, hints if sweet pears, toffee apples and pineapple. This fruit medley can also be tasted, but the crisp acidity makes it welcomingly more serious than expected.

Beautiful expression of ripe pears and apricot with hints of kiwi and pineapple. A well balanced wine with excellent structure and dimensions. This medium bodied Chenin blanc with its refined natural acidity represents elegance and finesse with lingering freshness.

Gavi di Gavi, La Toledana (Italy)
Gavi, Piemonte’s most celebrated unbaked, fresh and minerally white wine, is made from the Cortese grape, grown in the south east of the region. The toledana estate has been growing Cortese and making this classic dry white for over 150 years, longer than any other winery.

This sauvignon blanc displays passion fruit and herbaceous notes on the nose with a chalky mineral complexity. The palate is finely textured with ripe gooseberry, tropical fruit and citrus notes, framed by a fresh acidity to create a persistent finish.

Domaine Alain Gautheron, Chablis (France)
The Gautheron estate has been family owned for five generations making very traditional Chablis from 25 hectares of vineyards. Their Chablis offers fresh, floral aromas, applet fruit and complex, rich mineral character derived from the subtle influence of the chalky vineyard soils. Fermentation and maturation is in vat to preserve the fresh steely flavours and lively balanced citrus finish.

Made in Mellot’s modern underground cellar beneath the town of Sancerre. This ‘cuveé’ undergoes a longer skin contact than is usual increasing the depth of flavour and weight. Shows floral and grapefruit aromas, backed by a long-lived, fresh finish.

Louis Jadot, Macon Rosé (France)
Made using 100% Gamay grapes which have been vinified in stainless steel, with only a brief period of time on the skins sufficient to extract enough pigment to give this wine a charming deep-pink colour. Dry and crisp with a delightful aroma and palate reminiscent of wild berries and raspberries.

Winery of Good Hope, Pinotage (South Africa)
An excellent example of a uniquely South African grape, being a cross between a Pinot Noir and a Cinsault. Lashings of blackberry and red cherry fruit on a fleshy palate with hints of violet on the nose. The distinctive Pinotage spiciness is there, with an underlying smoky minerality.

La Pouladiere is a vibrant young red, made from a vigorous selection of the best Grenache and Syrah Cuvees from the heart of the southern Rhone. It is rich and fragrant with red fruits, blackcurrants and green peppers on the nose, warm and succulent stone fruits and a hint of mineral backed by supple tannins.
